Book of exalted deeds mtg faceless haven12/2/2023 ![]() ![]() I was wondering if running a GW kind of deck focused on ramping first and then assembling the combo as quickly as possible may also get the job done, still using some of the aspects you've included. I like the inclusion of Golos and Solemn, and Birth of Meletis seems like an auto include in these kinds of decks. What have been your experiences running it? The Jeskai players also run Tef5ri as a wincon, which doesn't care much about our wincon. My particular concern with historic is that URx decks such as phoenix and variations of Jeskai control always run several as it can serve as almost anything those players need in a pinch. My primary concern about this combo is the prevalence of decks that run ], not just in Historic but pretty much everywhere. I would love to hear your thoughts on these decisions and any other cards that might fit here :)ĭefinitely like the idea, as I have used one of MTG Joe's lists for the Standard 2022 play queue!! Massive life gain in the lategame if our Faceless is destroyed, brings back creatures, with tree can close the game. Allows you to scry 2 early on and help find the cards you really want. One of my favorite cards in any deck where you need to find something specific. We can bring in Faceless or our Tree with Golos. Obviously helps with heavy creature based decks, and if our creatures die, we don't really care too much.ģx The Birth of Meletis + 3x Solemn Simulacrum + 3x Golos 5 seems to be a decent number, I might bump it up to 6 in the future. There are better ones, these are what I had and didn't have to craft. I'll be adding more copies once I get them. People tend to not play around it.Ī one off in this deck due to wildcards, but it seems like a nice tax to have especially to help prevent countering Exalted. Mangara is an MVP here drawing you cards if the opponent plays a lot of spells, or aggro attacks with all their creatures. I might up these numbers, but this feels good for now. Not something we want to draw into most of the time.ġx Paladin Class + 2x Mangara, the Diplomat Tempted to go from 2 copies to 3, but 2 seems about right. The extra 1 to each lifegain is handy (especially against aggro), and in the late game bringing back creatures from your graveyard is a godsend. Also combos with Exalted, as you gain 3 life, you get a free angel if played on the same turn.Ī really good card in this deck. It actually finds pretty much everything we could need in the deck to get our above combo, or to go in the late game. A nice card to have in the late game to end the game quicker.įinds our faceless haven, and our exalted. Our alternate win condition, in case we face up against a deck with land destruction. For now, 3 copies of haven and 2 of Exalted are working pretty well. ![]() ![]() Land destruction isn't too common yet, once Exalted appears more in the meta, the deck will probably need some adjustments. This combination allows you to be pretty much invincible unless your opponent runs some land destruction. I'm going to enjoy it until Exalted gets a banhammer.ģx Faceless Haven + 2x The Book of Exalted Deeds This is BO1 for now as I'm trialing out, just sharing because it is very fun to play. Just posting an early copy of my new favorite deck. ![]()
